Making an impact in America.

We don’t just make vehicles. We make jobs.

Hyundai may be a Korean company, but nearly half of the vehicles we sell in the U.S. are built here. We've created a lot of things we're proud of at our American facilities but chief among them is jobs.

Today, our U.S. operations and dealerships support nearly 100,000 jobs and contribute over $7 billion to the national economy. And we’re a big part of the more than $75 billion invested in the U.S. by international automakers that employ 130,000 Americans at nearly 500 facilities.

In 2017 we announced we’re investing $3.1 billion in the United States over the next five years, which will be used for R&D and to upgrade our production facilities. That brings Hyundai Motor Group’s total investment in the U.S. to $10 billion. And we’re committed to growing and contributing even more to the American economy.

Designed in California. Built in Alabama. Made in America.
“Made in America” is something we’re passionate about and proud of. It’s a belief reflected in our manufacturing facility in Alabama, engineering center in Michigan, plus design, research, and testing grounds in California. In Montgomery, Alabama, our $1.7-billion state-of-the-art plant employs 3,000 team members and produces up to 400,000 cars annually. There, we just announced a $388-million addition to an engine plant that sits adjacent to the assembly plant where Sonatas, Elantras and Santa Fes roll off the line.

Hope is our greatest feature. And it comes standard on every Hyundai.
